95 Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate (August 2018)
From a solera that contains every single vintage from 1986 to 2008 and is sourced from only two vineyards in Avize (Les Chantereines and Les Marvillannes), Selosse's current NV Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Substance offers an impressively deep, iodine-scented and chalky bouquet that is rich, intense, pure and elegant on both the nose and palate. It is a very mineral and salty Champagne with very fine tannins and just a touch of oak. The structure is so firm and the length so persistent that you can drink this wine even at a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius (64 degrees Fahrenheit). A tremendous Blanc de Blancs! Tasted at the domaine in April 2018.
