97 Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate (April 2012)

The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino is one of the most exciting wines of the vintage. An exotic melange of freshly cut flowers, dark cherries and plums conquers all of the senses. Intense saline notes and the wine’s underlying minerality are buried under the massive fruit, but over time they emerge. Hints of graphite, spices, crushed rocks and sweet, juicy dark cherries wrap around the huge finish. This is a breathtaking effort from Diego and Nora Molinari, and more than a worthy followup to the epic 2006. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2032.

95+ Stephen Tanzer, Vinous (July 2012)

Good full, deep red. Musky red berries, minerals and mocha on the nose, lifted by a floral topnote. Densely packed and almost viscous in texture yet magically weightless, with superb intensity and lift to the red fruit, crushed stone and mineral flavors. Offers an uncanny combination of voluptuous texture, inner-mouth perfume and energy. Finishes saline, tactile, very long and aromatic, with powerful but suave and fully ripe tannins and the spectacular fruit of 2007 at its best. With its buns of steel, this reminded me of a 2006.
